Being John Malkovich

Not sure why I decided to see this; maybe because it looked different, maybe because I like Cusak and Malkovich, possibly for the plot. Whichever one it was, it helped me realize why I eat the same burger every time, drive the same roads, call the same poeple. There are just some things I'll never be able to digest, and this movie is one of them.
The premise of the movie is that Cusak, a failing puppeteer, needs a real job and goes to work for a filing company. He accidentally finds a dimensional portal that puts you inside John Malkovich for 15 minutes, then dumps you on the New Jersey turnpike. To boost his career and to get the office hotty in bed, he hijacks Malkovich's body and rides the fame for a while, until an elaborate plot kicks him out of the alternate dimension.
I honestly didn't recognize Cameron Diaz in this flick, and couldn't find a likeable character other than Malkovich, who plays himself. I spent most of this movie weirded out by camera angles, screwed up plot concepts, and messed up dialogue. I never felt comfortable with it, and so I really didn't enjoy this flick much.
If you agree with my other reviews, then trust me on this: if you're not drunk or high when you see this, you'll agree with me that the critics who are raving about this movie were.
