End of Days

I admit it: I'm an Arnie fan. Even though he's made some stinkers, what actor doesn't have that to face down? Keaton? Hoffman? Heston? And so the previews lured me, not only with Herr Swartzenegger, but with the dark mood and special effects which spacled this movie. Well, some day I'll learn...
The basic plot here is that Satan, is preparing to re-enter the world as a 1000 year imprisonment draws to a close. And that's about as deep and detailed as the plot gets.
Although there are a couple of high-tech special effects in this movie, they're not the ground-breaking, trend-setters of The Matrix or anything. The script is rather dull, and although Arnold is getting a little geriatric, you'd really expect a little more in the action department. I'm really having trouble coming up with specifics for this movie, as it's easily forgettable and I have no intention of watching it again.
Don't bother. Want religious/scary? Get The Exorcist. Want religious/funny? Dogma. Religious/boring? This or your local church. Church is free. Usually.
